A reservoir on the edge of Łazy

The Mitręga reservoir lies in the south-eastern part of Łazy in Zawiercie county, at the northern edge of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. Surrounded by woodland, it serves as the town's main bathing spot and a recreation area for the whole neighbourhood.

Beach and sport

The shore offers a supervised swimming area with a beach, water equipment rental and a beach volleyball court, next to a food outlet and a car park. Benches with roofing stand along the surfaced path used by walkers, runners and cyclists, handy for a picnic or in changeable weather.

Good to know

Anglers are frequent guests here; the local angling club stocks the water and holds competitions. In summer the municipal cultural centre in Łazy organises open-air events by the water. The reservoir also makes a convenient starting point for exploring the Jura and the nearby Błędów Desert.
