Sucha, Leśna
Zapora Leśniańska stands on the Kwisa river between Gryfów Śląski and Leśna, in the Lubań district of Lower Silesia. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it still serves for water retention and feeds a hydroelectric plant. The structure is about 130 m long and 8 m wide, and the impounded water forms Lake Leśniańskie.
A walkway runs along the crest of the dam, with views over the Kwisa valley and the lake. In season a pleasure boat sails almost up to the structure, allowing you to see it from the water. Czocha and Rajsko castles stand nearby, and Czocha Beach has been laid out by the lake.
The yellow trail leads to the dam from Leśna (2.5 km, approx. 50 min) or from the village of Sucha (1.3 km, approx. 20 min). The route is easy and suitable for small children.
