Dąbrowska 36, Wieś Wojkowice Kościelne
The Kuźnica Warężyńska reservoir, better known as Pogoria IV, lies in the northern part of Dąbrowa Górnicza, close to the boundary with Wojkowice Kościelne. It formed in a pit left after the extraction of backfill sand and, once flooded, became one of the largest bodies of water in southern Poland — its shoreline measures about 13 kilometres. Forest covers much of the banks and the water is noticeably cleaner than in many reservoirs of the conurbation.
The lake is used by sailors, windsurfers, divers and anglers, and several sailing clubs are based here. The bathing spots are informal — there are no lifeguards and no supervised zones, so you enter the water at your own risk. The most frequented stretches of shore are those near Podbagienko and Klemencin.
Catering and accommodation facilities are modest, but the walking and cycling routes circling the water and the proximity of the other Pogoria lakes are a real asset. It gets busy and noisy in season; outside it, this is a quiet place for a few hours off the road.
