Gliniak Reservoir lies in the village of Bolęcin in the Trzebinia commune, Chrzanów district, on the edge of the Dulowa Forest. It is in fact made up of two bodies of water that filled the pits from which clay was once dug for a brickworks.
One of the pools is gradually becoming overgrown and has gained ecological value as a habitat for amphibians and reptiles. The other serves recreation: it is easy to reach and popular in summer with residents and visitors alike. The bathing area is unsupervised and facilities are limited, so it is worth bringing your own supplies.
Bolęcin has kept a historic park and a horse stud, past which runs a blue trail leading from the Chechło reservoir all the way to Gliniak. Nearby stand rare Triassic rock formations protected as a monument of inanimate nature, among them a limestone outcrop known as the Pearl of the Trzebinia Commune, and the themed Wioska pod Skałą village, which draws on the legend of dungeons beneath Bolęcin.
