Podbrodnica, Wieś Ciche
Jezioro Ciche lies in Brodnica county, in the Brodnica Lake District and within the boundaries of the Brodnica Landscape Park. It sits south of the village of Ciche and north of Brodnica, ringed by dense pine forest. The name — meaning „quiet" — captures the place well: the lake is small, barely developed and rarely visited by large groups.
The forest setting and the absence of run-off from farmland mean the lake counts as one of the cleanest in the region. It is a bream-type water body, valued by anglers. In the south a small watercourse links it with Lake Zbiczno — when water levels are high a kayak can pass through, opening the way to a longer paddling trip across the lake district.
This is a spot for those seeking quiet: swimming without crowds, walks along forest tracks and rest amid the landscape park's nature. A campsite operates nearby. Access runs along forest and unpaved roads, so getting there can be tricky, and the shores remain largely wild.
