Nad Zalewem, Wieś Sieniawa
Jezioro Sieniawskie, also known as the Besko reservoir, was created on the Wisłok river near the village of Sieniawa in the Rymanów commune, between the Jasło-Krosno Basin and the Bukowsko Foothills. It covers about 130 hectares and has two long arms cutting into the valleys of side streams.
Much of the shore is reinforced with concrete, but the bays in the Czerniawka and Głęboki stream valleys are overgrown with lush vegetation and trees. High, steep slopes limit access to the water, so the area stays quiet and little visited — good for waterbirds and for calm walks along the roads above the lake.
The reservoir serves flood retention and feeds a small hydroelectric plant; swimming is prohibited and there are no bathing areas or lifeguards. Fish are plentiful, but the steep banks make angling difficult. Treat the place as a viewpoint stop on the way to the Bieszczady Mountains or the Low Beskids.
