Zalew Siamoszyce, also known as the Siamoszyce Reservoir, lies in the Kroczyce commune in Zawiercie County, in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It was created on the Krztynia river and works as a flow-through reservoir, so the water is constantly renewed and counts as some of the cleanest in the area. Meadows and small groves surround it, and the limestone Jurassic hills are visible from the shore.
A holiday centre on the shore runs the only fenced and supervised bathing area, together with a slide leading into the water and a pier. In season kayaks and pedal boats can be hired, and there are snack bars and playing fields nearby. The reservoir is also a valued angling spot.
The yellow Zamonit trail runs beside the reservoir, and connecting paths lead onto the Trail of the Eagles' Nests and the Trail of Jurassic Strongholds. It makes a convenient base for exploring the limestone outcrops and castles within a dozen or so kilometres.
