Lake Niepruszewskie lies in the Warta basin, on the border of the Dopiewo and Buk communes in Poznań County. It has a distinctive elongated shape and mostly treeless, partly boggy shores; a compact stand of trees accompanies only the southern part. The closeness of Poznań makes it one of the more popular destinations for a short trip out of town.
In the eastern part of the lake, by the village of Zborowo, there is a beach and a bathing area with a jetty. The grounds are grassy, with a playground, beach volleyball and handball courts, fire pits and an educational path. A marina here hires out boats and dinghies.
The open water and breezy setting suit sailing and windsurfing, while the calmer bays are better for swimming and kayaking. The well-organised facilities make the lake a favourite with families.
