Staw Warchoły lies in Nisko in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, on Wilcza Street, at the edge of the built-up area. The reservoir formed in a pit left after clay extraction, which filled with water over time. Today it is a small fishing water surrounded by greenery, within a short walk of the centre of Nisko.
The pond is above all a place for anglers. Pike and perch live here, as well as carp of impressive size, yet the water has a reputation for being difficult and demanding patience. It is looked after by the local angling club, and fishing requires an angling licence and the permission of the water's keeper.
Around the reservoir there are designated campfire spots and gazebos where you can sit in the shade. The banks are easy to reach, and the quiet, green surroundings suit a short rest even for those who do not fish. It is more of a local recreation spot than a destination for a long trip.
