Lake Marchowo lies in Wejherowo County, by the village of Koleczkowo, on the edge of the Tricity Landscape Park. It is in fact made up of two basins – Marchowo West and Marchowo East – joined by the Zagórska Struga stream, which gives the lake its flow-through character. The site is well connected with Gdynia and served by city buses.
The lake is regarded as one of the better fishing grounds in Pomerania. Pike, perch, tench, roach, bream, catfish and eel are caught here. Access to the water is easy along most of the bank; the western side is heavily overgrown with reeds, and the bottom can be muddy and soft.
The closeness of the Tricity and the forest setting also bring visitors here to swim and to walk. Forest tracks and the landscape park's trails run all around, handy for short hikes and cycling trips.
