Three reservoirs in the Kamionka valley

The reservoir in Siemiatycze is a set of three artificial basins created in the valley of the river Kamionka, in the western part of this Podlasie town. They are numbered from the lowest-lying one — number 1 was given to the basin closing the cascade. They serve recreational, water-retention and natural functions, and the water is considered exceptionally clean, which is not obvious on a regional scale.

Beach and water sports

A municipal beach with a separate guarded bathing zone was laid out on Sportowa Street. A rental point offers water equipment — kayaks and pedal boats. On the shore there is a beach volleyball court and an outdoor gym. The reservoir is also a popular fishing spot: anglers pull out pike, catfish, carp and bream.

Outside the season

Walking, running and cycling routes run around the basins and are used all year round. In autumn and winter the shores are quiet, and the loop around the water makes a comfortable, flat walk within reach of the centre of Siemiatycze.
