Lake Tuchomskie is a flow-through lake in Kartuzy County, where the communes of Żukowo, Przodkowo and Szemud meet. It lies next to the village of Tuchom, with Warzenko spreading along the opposite shore. The proximity of the Tricity means most visitors come from Gdynia and Gdańsk — part of the shore is reachable by city transport.
In summer the beaches can be crowded, but quieter coves away from the main access points are easy to find along the shoreline. The lake does not have the best reputation for water cleanliness, so many visitors treat it as a backdrop for a walk rather than a bathing spot. Jetties are set up along the banks.
The walking route around the lake takes about two and a half hours, and the paths are comfortable and clearly laid out. The setting is an interesting natural area with a raised bog. Nearby, the Oleńka manor house also draws attention.
