A dam reservoir in Gołuchów

Lake Gołuchowskie is an artificial reservoir on the Kalisz Upland, in the Gołuchów commune in the Pleszew county. It serves water retention and at the same time forms the main recreational base of the area. A quiet zone applies here, so no combustion-powered craft operate on the water.

Beach and water sports

The Gołuchów Tourism and Sports Centre runs the beach and a supervised bathing area. Kayaks and pedal boats can be hired at the rental point. The centre hosts fairs, football and tennis tournaments and regattas, and the Trans-Greater Poland Cycling Route passes nearby.

Worth seeing nearby

Gołuchów is famous for its castle and park complex surrounded by an extensive park with a demonstration bison enclosure. The village has also kept an Art Nouveau palace and historic churches, while nearby Kuchary has a manor house with a manor park.
