ul. Spacerowa, Wieś Sielpia Wielka
Lake Sielpia, also called Sielpiowskie, is a reservoir on the Czarna Konecka river in the village of Sielpia Wielka, between Końskie and Kielce. It contains two islands, and its shores are surrounded by extensive pine forests criss-crossed by walking paths and cycling trails.
For decades the reservoir has served as a bathing spot for the whole region. There is a beach, and rental points offer kayaks, pedal boats, rowing boats and sailing dinghies. The banks are popular with anglers. Holiday centres, camping cabins and tent fields are spread around the lake, which makes it suitable for a longer stay.
Outdoor events are held in Sielpia, including the Rajd Bab, the Końskie Walking Marathon and the eXtreme Marathon. A further attraction is the Museum of the Old-Polish Industrial Region, housed in the buildings of a former factory — one of the most important technical monuments in the area.
