Wieś Serwy
Lake Serwy lies in the Podlaskie province, in the Płaska commune, in the Lithuanian Lake District and surrounded by the Augustów Forest. It stands out for the north-south alignment of its trough, unusual for this part of the region, and for a moderately developed shoreline with numerous beaches. The water is exceptionally clear, which shows in the range of fish species.
The lake holds three islands — Dębowo, Lipówka and Sosnowo — with a combined area of about 12 hectares. Clean, well oxygenated water suits demanding species such as whitefish and vendace. The lake is a designated quiet zone, so combustion engines are banned; boating here means paddle or sail.
Holiday centres and campsites are spread along the shores, using the sandy beaches — one of them is the bathing area by Camp Serwy. In the village of Serwy itself a small pier reaches out over the water, a good spot for a walk at sunset.
