A town lake in the Wałcz Lake District

Lake Raduń lies within the boundaries of Wałcz in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Wałcz Lake District. A suspension bridge spans the water — the only structure of its kind over a lake in Poland and the most recognisable feature of the local landscape. The shores are largely wooded yet easy to reach from the town centre.

Sport and recreation

The Olympic Training Centre run by the Central Sports Centre and the Wałcz Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre both stand on the lake. Bathing areas and campsites are spread along the shoreline, and the calm, forest-sheltered water has long served rowers and kayakers.

Angling and trails

The lake is well known among anglers — zander, pike, eel, catfish, bream, roach, perch, carp and tench all live here. A red-marked hiking trail runs along the shore from Wałcz towards the Drawa National Park.
