A reservoir on the Koprzywianka

Zalew Koprzywnica is a pair of water bodies created on the Koprzywianka river on the edge of Koprzywnica, in the Sandomierz district. The larger basin is called Danusia, the smaller one Hania, and together they cover some 17 hectares. They lie in a gently rolling farming landscape, close to the post-Cistercian church of St. Florian.

Time by the water

In summer a supervised bathing area operates here and the municipality runs free swimming lessons. The shore is partly developed, with space for sunbathing and resting on the grass. The surrounding ground is flat, so a walk requires no effort and works well with small children.

Angling and the surroundings

Outside the bathing season the reservoir belongs to anglers: it holds coarse fish as well as predators, mainly pike and perch. Koprzywnica itself deserves a short walk for its Romanesque church and former Cistercian abbey, and Sandomierz with the Pieprzowe Hills lies a dozen kilometres away.
