A ribbon lake in the Krajna Lakeland

Jezioro Krępsko stretches across the Krajna Lakeland in Człuchów county, between the villages of Garsk and Zbysławiec, close to Gwieździn. It is a flow-through ribbon lake of about 377 hectares, one of the larger bodies of water in this part of Pomerania. Its elongated shape and highly developed shoreline divide the lake into two bays separated by a broad peninsula.

Nature

The lake is surrounded by dense forest complexes dominated by coniferous habitats, though the undergrowth and boggy margins also support many rarer plant species. The islands remain a breeding ground for water birds, so it is worth keeping your distance and staying quiet, watching them from the shore or from the water.

Who it suits

This is a destination for anglers, kayakers and anyone looking for peace away from crowded bathing spots. The banks are mostly natural and wooded, and access runs along local roads — it is worth checking in advance where you can park safely.
