ul. Jaszczurcza Góra, Mrągowo
Jezioro Czos lies in the Mrągowo Lakeland, partly within the town of Mrągowo itself. It is a ribbon lake made up of two arms — western and eastern — separated by a peninsula with two hills: Góra Czterech Wiatrów (184 m above sea level) and a neighbouring rise of 143 m. You can reach the shore from the market square in Mrągowo along a promenade in just a few minutes.
The banks have been laid out with promenades and cycle paths that let you walk around much of the lake. A municipal bathing area operates on the north-western shore, with marinas, hotels and campsites nearby. By the water there is also an amphitheatre, the venue for the summer open-air events of Mrągowo.
It makes a good base for exploring Masuria for families and motorhome travellers — the town's attractions and accommodation are within walking distance. In summer the lake is used for swimming and water sports; out of season it remains a place for quiet walks along the water.
