A warm lake near Konin

Jezioro Mikorzyńskie lies in the Gniezno Lake District, a few kilometres north of Konin. It belongs to a chain of waters connected with lakes Ślesińskie and Pątnowskie, which makes longer kayaking trips possible. The water here is noticeably warmer than in other lakes of Greater Poland – it mixes with water that cools the Konin power plant and in summer reaches up to 25°C.

Relaxing by the water

Holiday resorts with bathing areas and rental points for water equipment operate along the shores. The extensive woodlands around the lake are good for walks and cycling trips, and remnants of several former manor parks have survived nearby. In the southern part of the lake lies a small island known as the Isle of Lovers.

For anglers

The lake is classified as a bream-type water body. Bream, white bream, bleak, perch, pikeperch, roach, tench and eel are caught here, which makes it a year-round destination for fishing trips.
