Strzeszynek, Jeżyce, Poznań
Lake Strzeszyńskie lies within the boundaries of Poznań, in the north-western part of the city, on the edge of the forest complex of the Poznań Lake District. Surrounded by woodland and set apart from dense development, it is one of the favourite recreation spots of Poznań residents, reached from the centre in a quarter of an hour.
A municipal bathing area with a spacious beach has been laid out on the shore, with a restaurant, a campsite and a motel next to it. The water is considered one of the cleaner ones in the area, which adds to the popularity of the place on hot days. Walking and running paths follow the shores, used eagerly outside the season too.
The lake is a fishing ground with vendace, eel, pike, bream, tench and perch among its species. An educational meadow devoted to the plants growing along the shores has been arranged by the beach, and open-air cultural events are held here in season.
