Lake Zawiad lies west of the village of Bieszkowice, in the Wejherowo municipality, within the Tri-City Landscape Park. The reservoir is of glacial origin, with a flat, sandy bottom, and is surrounded by forest that separates it from the busy conurbation.
The lake is well prepared for visitors: there is a bathing area and a beach as well as a campsite. Private holiday cottages and a year-round holiday centre stand on the northern shore. It is a popular destination for short trips from Wejherowo and the Tri-City, especially on warm weekends.
Anglers value the lake, as its waters hold perch, pike, roach, bream and weatherfish. Caddisfly larvae confirm the good quality of the water. Rare aquatic plants also draw attention, among them the strictly protected lake quillwort. Forest paths of the landscape park run around the reservoir, convenient for a walk or a bike ride.
