Wieś Grabniak
Lake Rotcze lies by the village of Grabniak in the Włodawa district, next to Polesie National Park. It is a karst basin of nearly 43 ha with a maximum depth of about 4.3 m. Shallow, quickly warming water and peat-bog surroundings create a landscape typical of the Polesie region.
The shoreline is largely boggy and the bottom muddy, but the eastern shore has been adapted for tourism. There is a sandy beach, a gentle entry into the water and a jetty. The lake is also popular with anglers — tench, carp, crucian carp, roach, rudd and brown bullhead are caught here; a fishing card is enough, with no extra fees.
A good choice for those who value calm — the place is not crowded even at the height of the season. A free car park has been set up by the beach, and the area offers a holiday centre, agritourism farms and summer cottages. In summer food trucks appear next to the beach.
