Wieś Karpowicze
The reservoir in Karpowicze lies in Sokółka County, in the north-eastern part of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. It is a small body of water on the Brzozówka River, chosen by those looking for an alternative to the crowded lakes of the region.
A sandy beach with a supervised swimming area has been arranged by the water, along with a volleyball court hosting the regular Zalew Cup tournaments. The reservoir lies on the Kumiałka – Brzozówka canoeing route, so alongside sunbathers there are paddlers working their way down the river. Anglers come here willingly too. Even at the height of the season, when people from the surrounding villages arrive, a quiet spot on the shore is easy to find.
Karpowicze and the neighbouring villages offer private rooms and farm stays. From here it is a short drive to the Biebrza National Park with its floodplains and birdlife, and to Białystok.
