A summit in the Lubawka Gate

Zadzierna rises to 724 m above sea level in the western part of the Central Sudetes, above the Kamienna Góra Basin in Kamienna Góra County. It is the highest of the hills of the Lubawka Gate and one of the peaks of the Crown of the Polish Sudetes.

Trails to the top

Two marked trails linking Lubawka with Karpacz lead to Zadzierna: the red one, which climbs to the summit, and the gentler green one, which bypasses the very top. The ascent is short and requires no mountain experience, so the peak is a popular family outing. Setting off from Lubawka and returning the same way usually takes about an hour and a half.

Panorama and rocks

The summit is crowned by a distinctive rock shaped by selective weathering, today the main viewpoint. It opens up a panorama of the Bukówka reservoir, the Lubawka Gate, the Krucze Mountains, the Rudawy Janowickie and the eastern Karkonosze, and in good visibility the surrounding villages as well.
