Viewpoint above the Mściwojów reservoir

The observation tower in Mściwojów stands in the Jawor district of Lower Silesia, right above the reservoir of the same name. The structure is 25 m high and its elevated position means that in good visibility the view reaches 60–70 km.

What you can see from the top

From the platform you can pick out the Kaczawa Mountains and Foothills, the Wałbrzych Mountains and the Strzegom Hills, and in favourable conditions also Śnieżka — the highest peak of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains). It is a good place to revise the topography of the Sudetes and plan further trips into the ranges visible from here.

Good to know

Entry to the tower is free and possible all year round; after dusk the structure is sometimes illuminated, giving a completely different picture of the area. A visit combines easily with a rest by the Mściwojów reservoir and a walk along the paths running right beside it. Only stairs lead to the top, so the tower is not wheelchair accessible.
