A water park at the gates of Wrocław

The Water Park in Trzebnica is a large leisure complex set in the green, recreational part of town on Leśna Street. Trzebnica lies some 30 kilometres north of Wrocław, so the facility serves both as a short getaway for residents of the conurbation and as a stop on a journey across Lower Silesia.

The complex is divided into two parts: an indoor section open regardless of the weather, and an outdoor one that opens in the warmer months. Thanks to that layout it is one of the few places in the area that works equally well on a scorching day and in the rain.

What is waiting inside

The indoor hall holds three pools: a sports pool, a leisure pool and a paddling pool for the youngest guests. They are complemented by slides, water whirls, a jacuzzi and an extensive sauna zone with a wellness area. Under the same roof there are also a gym, a fitness room and a bowling alley, and anyone spending half a day here will find a snack bar.

The outdoor part offers a swimming pool with a paddling area, a slide, a playground and a beach volleyball court — the classic set for a summer afternoon.

Who it suits

The place is designed with families in mind, but it is also used by athletes and by people getting back into shape after injuries. Swimming sections and an underwater hockey section train here, aqua aerobics and water rehabilitation classes are held, and in the holidays the centre runs day camps, training camps and competitions. The pools are adapted to the needs of visitors with disabilities.

Good to know

A spacious car park for around one hundred vehicles has been arranged next to the complex, which makes arriving by car much easier. Before visiting it is worth checking the current rules and the availability of particular zones, as some attractions are closed during group classes or maintenance work.
