The Kormoran bathing area lies in the south-western part of Legnica, by an artificial reservoir on the Czarna Woda river. It operates as part of the municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, and the staff of the neighbouring „Kormoran” centre look after bathers' safety. It is the closest place to swim for city residents and a convenient stop on a trip through Lower Silesia.
There is a sandy beach, a paddling pool and a slide for children, plus a water equipment rental. Facilities include showers and changing rooms, and the area around is a lawn shaded by trees. You can play volleyball, spread out for a picnic, use a barbecue or walk along the jetties leading out over the water.
The layout suits families with children: a gentle entry into the water, a separate paddling pool and plenty of space away from the beach itself. Those looking for activity will find a court and equipment hire, while those after quiet get shade under old trees away from the main beach.
