Murzasichle is a small village at the foot of the Tatras, about ten kilometres from Zakopane, with a wide view of the mountain panorama. Local hosts run sleigh rides and horse-drawn trips here — on runners in winter and on wheeled carts outside the snow season.
The route follows village lanes and nearby forest tracks, with stretches that open up towards the Tatras. A basic ride usually lasts about an hour; the version with a bonfire, grilled sausages and a stop at a regional inn takes roughly twice as long. The length and course are agreed with the host.
This is an option for families with children and for groups who want to experience the traditions of Podhale without the effort of a mountain trail. Rides need to be booked in advance, and in winter it is worth dressing warmly, as an open sleigh gets cold quickly.
