A park in the Southern Wood

The Józef Trendel Park lies in the southern part of Słupsk, in the so-called Southern Wood on the right bank of the river Słupia. About 20 hectares have been set aside for recreation: walking alleys among old trees, clearings and three ponds. It is one of the most popular weekend spots for residents, a short drive from the city centre.

Ponds and bathing area

One of the ponds has a beach and a supervised bathing area watched over by lifeguards in season. The water is around four metres deep and the bottom is muddy. The remaining ponds are popular with anglers. The grounds are managed by the municipal sports and recreation centre.

Facilities on site

Benches and tables stand by the ponds, with designated barbecue and campfire spots, toilets with washbasins and a car park. Entry to the park is free, and the wide surfaced alleys make it easy to walk with a pushchair or a dog.
