Grota Solna Selen operates in central Kołobrzeg, next to the Muszelka sanatorium and a few minutes from the seaside promenade. It is a small inhalation and relaxation facility whose interior is lined with salt; guests use it both preventively and as part of rehabilitation.
A session lasts about 45 minutes and starts on the full hour. Participants lie on one of fourteen loungers, listening to calm music and the sound of a brine spring. Humidity is kept constant and the temperature stays between 18 and 22°C, so warm socks are a good idea.
Air saturated with salt, iodine and minerals supports the airways and helps to unwind, which is why salt caves are popular with people troubled by throat and sinus complaints. It is also a sensible choice for a rainy day at the seaside, when the beach is not an option.
