Aleja Zdrojowa 7, Muszyna
The Poprad cuts through the Beskid Sądecki range along the border between Poland and Slovakia, and one of the main starting points is Muszyna. The river flows here through a wide, wooded valley, passing the spa towns of Piwniczna-Zdrój and Żegiestów.
You can choose between rafting pontoons and kayaks. A pontoon moves more calmly and leaves room for looking around or taking photographs, while a kayak demands more effort and gives livelier contact with the current. Covering a section takes from about an hour and a half to three hours — the most popular variant is Muszyna–Żegiestów, while the Leluchów–Żegiestów and Żegiestów–Piwniczna routes are more demanding.
The meeting point is Muszyna's Zapopradzie district with its mineral water pump room, amphitheatre and walking and cycling paths along the river. Muszyna is reached via regional road no. 971, and trains and buses also run here.
