ul. Tartaczna 4, Mrozy
In Mrozy near Mińsk Mazowiecki the locomotive's job is done by a horse. The tram runs on rails along a stretch of about 1.7 km, between the station on Tartaczna Street and Rudka. The line crosses woodland along the edge of the Rudka Sanatoryjna nature reserve.
The route was laid out around the turn of the twentieth century, when a tuberculosis sanatorium was built in Rudka on the initiative of the physician Teodor Dunin. The main railway line ran several kilometres away, so patients had to be brought in along a separate track. The first ride took place in 1908, already horse-drawn.
An educational trail with information boards runs beside the rails. The tram carries visitors at weekends from spring to autumn. In 2013 it served as a film set for the TV series “Ranczo”.
