Lake Urzędowe, known locally as Szpitalne, lies almost in the middle of Człuchów in Pomerania. Recreational cruises set off from Dworcowa Street opposite the castle, and their timetable is matched to the castle opening hours. It is the simplest way to see the town from the water.
Trips run on stable excursion rafts with canvas roofing, tables and chairs, so children and older visitors travel comfortably. From the deck you can see the castle panorama, tree-lined shores and the buildings of the old town. The pace is slow and the trip lasts about an hour.
A raft can be hired for a private party for a group of several dozen people, and in the evening for a cruise lit by torches. The season covers the warm months. The lake is popular with anglers, and walking paths around it link up with the castle grounds, so a cruise combines easily with sightseeing.
