235, Wieś Stróże
Zwierzyniec w Stróżach is a small animal enclosure run at the „Sądecki Bartnik” apiary farm, in the Nowy Sącz district of Lesser Poland. It adjoins the Beekeeping Museum directly, so both attractions can be seen during a single visit. The grounds are small and easy to take in, enough for a short walk.
The enclosure is home to goats, Hucul horses and ponies, roe deer, red deer, foxes, ostriches, peacocks and domestic fowl. The animals are viewed at close range from behind low fences, which works well with the youngest children. A „Bee Village” playground has been prepared for them, and pony rides are available in season.
The neighbouring Beekeeping Museum holds a collection of figural beehives and old beekeeping equipment, while the farm shop sells honey and bee products. Stróże lies on the road from Nowy Sącz towards Gorlice, so the stop is easy to weave into a drive through the foothills and the Low Beskids.
