Klub Jeździecki Nowy Dwór operates in Szałsza in the Tarnowskie Góry district, some fifteen kilometres from Gliwice. The stables stand at the edge of a forest among fields, next to the neo-Gothic von Groeling manor house and a park with old pedunculate oaks. A few minutes' walk away stands a wooden church dedicated to the Mother of God.
Instructors run riding lessons in the arena and out in the field, for beginners and for regular riders. The programme also covers handling a horse: grooming, saddling and feeding. Those who prefer not to mount can lead a horse by hand — a good first encounter with the animal for children.
Between mid-October and mid-November the club holds the Hubertus, a spectacular riders' festival with a traditional fox hunt. It draws mounted participants and spectators alike. Outside that date the area remains a quiet farming and woodland corner of Upper Silesia, close to Tarnowskie Góry and Gliwice.
