The brine grotto is set inside Ciechocinek's graduation tower number II, in Park Zdrowia on Sportowa Street. It is a solution unique in Poland: instead of walking around the structure, you enter a chamber above the brine tank, enclosed by beams packed with blackthorn. The site is open all year round.
The chamber is fed by natural iodine-bromine brine, the same that evaporates on the blackthorn twigs throughout the tower. Humidity is high and the aerosol concentration considerable, with conditions resembling the seaside. During inhalation you can watch the brine trickling down the thorn branches. Sessions are recommended above all to people with upper respiratory ailments, and the length of stay is not limited.
The Ciechocinek graduation towers form a complex of three wooden structures more than one and a half kilometres long in total — one of the largest facilities of this kind in Europe. A salt works operates nearby, and further on stretch the spa park with its flower carpets and the resort promenade. A visit to the grotto is short and combines well with such a walk.
