Kuźnice 14, Zakopane
The cable car to Kasprowy Wierch takes visitors from Kuźnice in Zakopane up to 1,959 m above sea level, just below the summit at 1,987 m. It is the first cable car in the Tatras and the only high-mountain cable car in Poland.
The line is about 4.3 km long and covered in two stages, with a change at Myślenickie Turnie. The cabins hold thirty to sixty people and have panoramic windows revealing successive belts of Tatra vegetation. The cable car runs all year and the number of tickets is limited.
The lower station is in Kuźnice, reached only by public transport and shuttle buses. Cars and motorhomes are left on car parks further down — by the John Paul II roundabout and on Bronisława Czecha and Karłowicza streets. Tickets are booked online.
