Ciuchcia Ekspres Ponidzie, formally the Świętokrzyska Narrow-Gauge Railway, is one of the greatest tourist attractions of Ponidzie — the region of the Nida valley with its inland river delta. The route is 34 km long and runs from Jędrzejów to the terminus in Pińczów.
The railway uses a narrow-gauge line built by Austrian troops in 1915. Trains are hauled by a historic steam or diesel locomotive, followed by passenger carriages: enclosed, summer, open-air and dining cars. The train crosses wooden bridges more than a century old suspended above the Nida — some of them rank among the longest wooden viaducts in Europe.
On request the train stops at Umianowice, where a roofed area with benches and a large fire pit has been prepared for gatherings. Jędrzejów, where the ride begins, lies at the junction of national road 78 and the S7 expressway, which makes it easy to reach from further parts of the region.
