The green lungs of Słupsk

The Park of Culture and Recreation is the largest park and leisure complex in Słupsk, stretching along the Słupia river next to Słowackiego Street. The river splits here into its main channel and the so-called Mill Canal, forming Granary Island — a natural setting for large summer open-air events. The grounds are fenced and guarded, with entrances from Słowackiego, Drewniana, Moniuszki and Rybacka streets.

What to do here

The park combines walking avenues with extensive sports facilities: tennis courts, a sports hall, recreational and training pitches and playgrounds. By the water there is a kayak marina, the starting point for trips down the Słupia. An asphalt platform with a stage hosts concerts and festivals in summer and turns into an ice rink in winter. A picnic shelter and permanent barbecue stands are also available.

For travellers

A camping field with pitches for tents and caravans has been set aside within the park, and there is plenty of parking around the complex. The city centre is close by, so a break in the greenery combines easily with sightseeing in Słupsk.
