The Krępa Recreation and Leisure Centre lies on Spacerowa Street in Ogrodzieniec, in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, a few minutes from one of the best known ruins in the region — Ogrodzieniec Castle in Podzamcze. The grounds are laid out around a water basin with a paddling pool, surrounded by the birch and pine woods that cover the limestone hills of the Jura.
Guests have a car park, shelters, a snack bar, sanitary facilities, a tent field and a fire pit at their disposal. For children there is a playground and a shallow paddling pool. Information boards describe the attractions of the Ogrodzieniec commune, so it is easy to plan the onward route from here without reaching for a guidebook.
The yellow and blue cycle routes, a black educational trail and the Trail of the Eagles' Nests linking the Jura strongholds run nearby. Close at hand is also the Bełkotek karst spring, where water wells up from the limestone bedrock. It makes a convenient stop during a hike or a bike ride across the Jura.
