Puławy
Park Czartoryskich stretches almost in the centre of Puławy, around the family's former residence. Its history is tied to the Lubomirski, Sieniawski and Czartoryski families, while today's landscape layout took shape at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Its historical and compositional value earned it a place in the register of monuments.
Among the greenery stands a group of pavilions that form the core of a visit: the Czartoryski Palace, the Temple of the Sibyl, the Gothic House, the Greek House, the Yellow House, the bell tower, the English Stairs and the secluded Marynka Palace. Most can be viewed from the outside while walking; some serve museum and exhibition functions.
Limes, maples, hornbeams, poplars, oaks and horse chestnuts dominate, complemented by beeches and larches. A few oaks date back to the Czartoryski era. The park slopes towards the Vistula valley, giving views from the upper terraces. Entry is free and the main alleys are comfortable with a pushchair.
