The European bison show enclosure operates in Pszczyna, on the edge of the historic Pszczyna Park, a short distance from the castle. The Pszczyna region has been linked with bison since the late 19th century, and the local herd played an important role in rebuilding the species' population, including in the Białowieża Forest.
The route runs alongside spacious paddocks, and its key point is a wooden viewing platform that allows you to watch the bison from a safe distance; it is adapted for people with disabilities. Besides bison, the enclosure is home to red deer, fallow deer, roe deer and mouflon, while the ponds hold swans, barnacle geese, ruddy shelducks and mallards.
The visit is rounded off by a three-dimensional film about the life of the bison and the history of the herd in this area. The site is ticketed and open all year, although opening hours change with the season. Because of the animals, dogs are not allowed inside; the paths, however, are paved and passable with a pushchair.
