Henryk Jordan Park covers more than 21 hectares in the Krowodrza district of Cracow, next to the Błonia meadow and Park Krakowski. It was created at the end of the 19th century on the initiative of Henryk Jordan, a physician and promoter of physical education, and was the first garden in Europe designed for the exercise and play of children.
The layout consists of wide grassy clearings, old-growth trees and a network of walking paths lined with benches. The park's signature feature is a gallery of busts of distinguished Poles set along the main routes. A concert shell stands in the central part, hosting open-air cultural events in summer.
The park works for families with children, runners and strollers, with playgrounds, sports pitches and cafés. Admission is free, the ground is flat and accessible for prams, and dogs are welcome. An outdoor game in the „Kraków w zieleni” app adds variety to a visit.
