Park Oruński lies in the Orunia–Św. Wojciech–Lipce district on the southern edge of Gdańsk and is one of the largest historic parks in the city. It forms part of the „Dolina Potoku Oruńskiego” protected landscape complex, and its layout makes use of the natural rises along the edge of the upland.
The origins of the estate go back to the 17th century, when a hunting manor was built here and a garden of botanical character was laid out around it. Later remodelling preserved the historic arrangement of alleys and ponds, so the park still differs clearly from ordinary neighbourhood greenery.
The Orunia Stream flows through the grounds and feeds two ponds with cascades; open-air sculptures by Alfons Łosowski stand among the trees. Children have a playground with sandpits, while flower beds line the main alleys.
