ul. Parkowa, Wejherowo
Aleksander Majkowski Municipal Park lies on Parkowa Street in Wejherowo, next to the historic town centre. Laid out in the English style, it has kept the layout of the former palace grounds: loose groups of trees, broad lawns and ponds linked by footbridges. Its patron is Aleksander Majkowski, a Kashubian writer and activist.
Two palaces stand within the park — the Przebendowski and the Keyserling residences — today used by cultural institutions. Besides them, the amphitheatre, the fountains, the aviaries with spotted eagles and cranes, and the trees protected as natural monuments draw attention. A separate wooded section is crossed by a wooden boardwalk.
A walk along the avenues takes about half an hour. There is a large, well-equipped playground and cafés nearby. The ground is level, so a pushchair is no problem.
