Poland's largest rose garden

The Rosarium in Chorzów is part of the Silesian Park and the largest rose garden in the country, with around 30,000 shrubs. It covers nearly seven hectares along Różana avenue and is open to all, so it is easy to visit while walking through the park.

How the garden is arranged

The flower beds take the shape of honeycombs and lenses, and single beds hold from three hundred to fifteen hundred shrubs of one variety. Besides large-flowered and cluster roses there are standard, climbing and miniature forms. Hedges of coniferous and deciduous shrubs and small ponds with water lilies complete the composition.

When to come

The best time to visit is the turn of June and July and September, when the roses bloom most abundantly. Along the paths stands a bench referring to the Silesian song about Karolinka and the forester Karlik from Gogolin — one of the most photographed spots of the whole garden.
