Bolestraszyce 130, Przemyśl
Bolestraszyce Arboretum lies about 7 km north-east of Przemyśl in the Subcarpathian voivodeship. It combines the roles of a botanical garden, a research institution and an education centre, and its plant collections are laid out on the grounds of a former manor estate with an old park.
The holdings are divided into thematic collections of trees, shrubs and ornamental plants, displayed in an informal park layout that visitors can explore on their own. The historic manor house holds a Natural History Museum, and the aviary is a separate attraction. Nature classes are run for school groups.
A visit takes the form of a walk: the paths are wide and comfortable for pushchairs, and covering the main collections takes roughly an hour. There is a refreshment point on site, a designated campfire spot and a playground. Nearby stands Fort XIII San Rideau, part of the Przemyśl Fortress.
