The green heart of Chorzów

Rose Park covers about 9 hectares in the centre of Chorzów and is one of the most frequently visited green areas in the city. Despite the name, roses are only one element of the composition here: informal park greenery with trees, shrubs and flower beds prevails.

What to see

The layout is built around two ponds, with walking and running avenues laid out along their shores. Birds and small animals are easy to spot among the older trees, while a fountain and the Polish Mother monument stand out among the park furnishings. Side paths and quiet corners invite an unhurried stroll.

Who it suits

This is an everyday park for residents of the nearby housing estates: there are two playgrounds, one in the central part and a smaller one to the side, and the surfaced paths are comfortable for pushchairs. The grounds are well lit, so an evening walk is possible too. Admission is free and dogs are allowed.
