The Garden of the Three Elements was created in Świeradów-Zdrój, on land of the Świeradów Forest District at the foot of the Izera Mountains. On the scale of a garden it presents the landscape and vegetation of the range, combining a display area with a nature education centre run by foresters.
The heart of the site is a recreated peat bog together with its ecosystem — one of the few that visitors may touch to see what peat really looks like. Beside it grow species typical of the Izera mountain communities. Classes and exhibitions are held in the wooden Woodcutter's Hut.
The programme includes a display of old and modern forestry tools, a virtual laboratory, weather measurements and sky observation through telescopes. Independent visitors can use a quest — an educational field game with tasks, available at the forest district office and on the website.
